Cutie Patootie

Yesterday, I was hot, sweaty, sticky, and just a tad nervous . A chance to photograph my cousin and his fiancee's cutie. (But have NEVER taken any photos of any babies) The nerves were at their highest. Everything on google says they are disasters waiting to happen.(Oh No!)
But all in all, she was a little angel even with as warm as it was outside and all of the posing we did. Maybe our next America's Next Top Model? But just had to share my favorite, with mom and dad posing.

The Go Cart just wasn't good enough, he just had to do it. I guess spoiling is what Grandpas do best:)

Writing his own music! Written two lines of music this week. I would explain more but I can't! His Piano teacher is teaching him to write it down as it comes. Can't wait till he finishes it. May not be for a long while but what a good start.

Growing Mozart

Seems just about 4 months ago he went from beating and pounding on the piano keys and making what almost sounded like music, to being my little Mozart. Always makes you smile to see them grow. :) (unfortunately the batteries of the camera died so this is short, but all made up in his little mind. Ignore the open book because he was suppose to be practicing Twinkle Rock) This was much better.

Getaway and Relax, AHHHHHH.........

A last minute decision for a much needed break.
This weekend we decided to take a quick trip to Hocking Hills. One night of FULL sleep(Soooooo Needed!) and one afternoon of just us, no phones, computers, work or kids. Here are just a few pics of our relaxing day. First 3pics are Ash Cave

Words of wisdom

After a hard day at work today our little old man, at least that is what we have always called our 9 yr old since he was 3 ( because he talks like an old man with a whole lot of wisdom). Reincarnated?.......... Maybe?
Anyway..... Tonight these were his words of wisdom to his Dad after he had had a hard day at work.......

"Listen to your gut, it will tell you all the answers."


Maybe a few more of us should follow his advice?

Sunday of Science

Today, God Bless his little heart, he is sick with strep throat for the second time in 2 weeks. Feeling cruddy, tired and lazy, it was the perfect day to bring out the science kit.

Nothin' better to get your mind off of being ill like a little science magic( at least its like magic to a 9yr old). Awesome experiment of energy with some help from the best dad ever!

A Day In The Life Of A Perturbed Pooch

Have you ever been so content, comfortable, warm, sleepy and in your heavenly place........ And then...............

All the kids feel its the time to do a photo shoot with you. From such a beautiful happy looking pooch, to this poor little scared, terrified, pooch that is now just worried about being squished by these fast moving, towering humans. Thinking to herself, " damn this cute little over bight, it's just to irresistible!"

Ever Lasting Memories

There are many things in this world, that if something tragic happened tomorrow, and I were to lose all past memories, I would never want to forget, this would be one........

Asleep in the winter sun, stuff toy in hand, that silky blanket she never slept without and the my favorite part... how she runs the tag through her fingers as if some type of meditation until she is fast asleep. Her safety, her friend, something she can't sleep without.

And of course lovely winter hair after falling asleep on a fleece blanket.

Birthday Festivities

LET THE BIRTHDAY FUN BEGIN!

Today he was the big 9! Lots of presents food, cake and icecream.....mmmmmmm!
Not to mention a little birthday love from his sister, who has been so excited since yesterday we had to hide the presents so she wouldn't open them.

Lots of candles this year and as soon as they were lit, he blew them out before I could even hold the button down on the camera. One blow and they were all out.
He had a great time and approved of all the presents!
As you can see from the grumpy face on the little one, figuring out that they were her brothers and not hers was very disappointing
.

I would have to say that my favorite part of the day was a hand made card by his cousin (who is in Florida this week and couldn't be here). The best card I have ever seen. She knows him like the back of her hand, with all his favorite things....Planets, rocket ships, stars and the moon. Even with him in it.
Just love that girl, always so thoughtful.

The End of the ICE AGE!

Now that the weather is close to freezing, thought it would be the best day to let her try those lovely ice skates she found in with the clothes her cousin has passed down. She has begged and begged since Christmas to use these. But we have no skating rink close and the weather has been close to 0 for a long time.

So when it finally got close to 32 degrees.......

Ice skating here we come!

The best way to have fun from the last storm that left thousands without power.
Today we are glad to see it go.
Absolutely the best way to welcome the onset of Spring!
